FIRST AWAY GAME EVER SEEN-Wrexham in the FA Cup December 5th 1964 which we won 3-2 with goals by Alan Spence two and Alex Russell.

BEST GAME EVER SEEN-Tranmere v Southport 28 April 1967 (won 2-1) and Southport v Chester 11 March 1967 which we won 4-3 rank jointly at the top of my list.

WORST GAME EVER SEEN-Southport v Wimbledon 17 April 1978. A game we lost 5-0. This was Wimbledon’s first season in the Football League and was to be our next to last home game in the League.

BEST OCCASION(S)-Has to be the FA Trophy Final at Wembley along with everyone else but I also thoroughly enjoyed the game at Hull City in the 5th Round of the FA Cup in March 1966. I travelled on one of 5 special trains and although we lost my day was made when Alex Russell got into my coach and gave me his autograph!

WORST OCCASION(S)-Hearing that we had been voted out of the league via TV News.

 FAVOURITE EVER PLAYER-Eric Redrobe

FUNNIEST MOMENT WATCHING SFC-The referee bringing the players off after 25 minutes at Leek Town thinking it was half-time.

BEST GOAL SEEN SCORED BY SOUTHPORT PLAYER- Amby Clarke’s goal from the halfway line against Bradford City in March 1967 was a bit special and one I always remember.

BEST GROUND VISITED WATCHING SFC-Elland Road, Leeds United v Southport FA Cup 3rd Round January 1965.
