NAME- Ben Kelly    aka bnek

FIRST HOME GAME EVER SEEN- 16/11/1991, Goole at home. The week before my dad had bought me a copy of 'Match' magazine with Gary Linekar on the front, a week later we decided to go to our first game. From what i can remember Goole played in green and it was sunny and it ended 1-1 with possibly Jimmy Blackhurst scoring(?)

FIRST AWAY GAME EVER SEEN- Mmm toughy this one, i believe it to have been away at Marine, i remember sitting behind the far goal in the ramshackled old shed. From what research i've done it was probably away in the First round of the FA Trophy and it finished 0-0 which rings a bell.

BEST GAME EVER SEEN In a season of so many lows the 4-3 win at Halifax springs to mind. Walsh gave Mulvaney his full debut and promptly scored a hat-trick although i missed his second due to the que at the burger van, then the Shaymen pulled 3 goals back before Bobby Pell 'lashed' in the winner from 2 yards out. Apart from that the 4-2 win against Notts County and 3-1 away win at Morecambe when Wright was in charge.

WORST GAME EVER SEEN-Again a trip to Morecambe, this time under Phil Wilson a 3-0 defeat, should've been more, we did wake-up though for the last 5 minutes though for some reason. Later that season Stevenage away, going down on the coach i think we all knew deep down that we didn't stand a chance, coming back up the M6 later that day being passed by the Leigh RMI team coach didn't help!

BEST OCCASION-Off the pitch it was finding out at Southport railway station at 2am in the morning in the back of Beasts car along with Tommy B that we had signed Terry Fearns. On the pitch playing at Haig Ave against 'Liams Legends' was a proud moment.

WORST OCCASION-When Paul Cook was appointed!

FAVOURITE EVER PLAYER An unsung hero but probably little Neil Grayston. Not the most talented player but the guy would just run and run and run for 90 minutes non-stop, i think the fact that he was a bald little fella made him all the more lovable! Second it would have to be Tiger Tim Ryan, best defender i've seen play for us, and although i was gutted to see him leave to Donny he went to fulfill his ambition to play in the league he did more than that and became Donnys captain.

FUNNIEST MOMENT WATCHING SFC-Phil Bolland and his Dennis the Menace wooly hat. Lancashire Cup Final held at some ground near Chorley (not Chorleys actual ground though) a 1-0 win courtesy of a extra time own goal. Anyway back to Bolly, a number of the players who weren't playing came up into the stand all smartly dressed and then Bolland who was wearing his hat. Secondly that night Steve McMahon stood on my Dads foot, didn't apologise either!

BEST GOAL SEEN SCORED BY SOUTHPORT PLAYER-Dino Maamria away at Morecambe, a swivelling volley on the turn by the African Assasin, a 3-1 win insued. Dating earlier than that some Dave Gamble thunderbolts.

BEST GROUND VISITED WATCHING SFC-I didn't enjoy Wembley, perhaps i was too young not to appreciate it, the experience was good but the stadium was awful. I wouldn't say i have a 'favourite', what i love about non-league football is turning up at some ramshackled ground, all these new stadiums are concrete boxes with no atmosphere.
