FAN PROFILE

NAME: Paul O’Byrne

FIRST HOME GAME EVER SEEN: Southport versus Marine (Boxing day 1992)

FIRST AWAY GAME EVER SEEN: Southport v Morecambe (County Cup Final 1994) 4-3 defeat after extra time.

BEST GAME EVER SEEN: Home to Merthyr Tydfil (3-2) an end to end game from start to finish.

WORST GAME EVER SEEN: Morecambe v Southport, Boxing day 2002. Lost 3-0 and really, we should have lost by a lot more.

BEST OCCASIONS: Away at Harrogate Town. What a day it was! Outplayed a team with play off hopes to win the championship, plus it being on Yorkshire territory – of all places!

WORST OCCASIONS: Northwich away, the day I realised Southport would now be playing Unibond football.

FAVOURITE EVER PLAYER: Paul Comstive

FUNNIEST MOMENT WATCHING SFC: The first ever “scream” at Bamber Bridge in a pre-season friendly, opposing goalkeeper Craig Dootson lost his temper!

BEST GOAL SEEN SCORED BY SOUTHPORT PLAYER: Lee Elam – against Leek Town

BEST GROUND VISITED WATCHING SFC: Nene Park (Rushden and Diamonds)
