STANDING ORDER FOR GOALDEN LOTTERY
|
NAME Andrew Kelly FIRST HOME GAME EVER SEEN Vs Welling @ Haig Avenue on 24/01/98 - we won 3-1 FIRST AWAY GAME EVER SEEN Vs Doncaster @ Belle Vue on 18/08/98 - we won 1-0 BEST GAME EVER SEEN Away to Morecambe on New Years Day 2001, the last time we beat them! I would say Harrogate etc but enough people have mentioned that and it seems like forever since we stuffed The Shrimps WORST GAME EVER SEEN Home to Spennymoor in 03/04 - Conceding 3 goals at home to them would be embarrasing enough for Marine. BEST OCCASION Again Harrogate or Wembley but aside from those I'll say beating Rushden (who everybody absolutely loved to beat back then) with a last minute Elam goal in April 2000 WORST OCCASION The day Dicko left the club. That just summed up an awful summer for all S.F.C. fans and set me on the way to the worst 5 months as a Southport fan I hope I'll ever have. Fortunately I wasn't alive in the 80's (well for the best part anyway) FAVOURITE EVER PLAYER :Dicko FUNNIEST MOMENT WATCHING SFC At Chester in 01/02, I was stood in front of a man who was dishing out abuse to one of our players (I forget who). Then we scored and he started singing his name! BEST GOAL SEEN SCORED BY SOUTHPORT PLAYER A toss up between Lee Elam's Ryan Giggs impression against Leek in 98/99 and Terry Fearns' magnetic boot routine against Worksop in 04/05.
BEST GROUND VISITED
This time i'll have to go
with the flow and say Nene Park |
