Sue Thomason (Andre)
FIRST HOME GAME EVER SEEN: Cradiff City in the FA Cup in 1966 (I was very young
- Honest!)
FIRST AWAY GAME EVER SEEN: Slough Town in 1997, (at the wonderfully named Shaggy
Calf Lane!)
BEST GAME EVER SEEN: Anytime we beat Kettering (Because I win money off a friend
who's one of their fans) Or Harrogate last year!
WORST GAME EVER SEEN: Relegation at Stevenage in 2003 - An abject capitulation
by the vast majority of players.
BEST OCCASIONS: Wembley, trophy final in May 1998 and Harrogate last year (After
half-time when I knew we were champions).
WORST OCCASIONS: Stevenage 2003 - Relegation
FAVOURITE EVER PLAYER: Brian Butler
FUNNIEST MOMENT WATCHING SFC: Wombat, my brother having to leave Yeading at
half-time when we were 1-1 in the trophy. (We won 6-1) Or Amnesiac in the bar at
Whitby, you had to be there!
BEST GOAL SEEN SCORED BY SOUTHPORT PLAYER: Neil Grayston at Havent and
Waterlooville (FA Cup 2000) no for the goal but the little dance he did
afterwards!
BEST GROUND VISITED WATCHING SFC: Rochdale FC (LDV Vans trophy), Rushden's Nene
Park, or Wembley!
ANY ANECDOTES: I was in America when we played Notts County in the FA Cup.
Having found out the result, I adjourned to the hotel bar for a celebratory
drink, but found it very difficult explaining to the average American why I was
so happy when
their only knowledge of soccer. Is, "Man Utd"
