Pictures from yesterday have been uploaded to Photobucket, follow the link above.

30 Apr Away Kettering 5.15pm. Three coaches almost full, just a couple of spaces on coach 3.

RELEGATION HEARTBREAK-KETTERING 3 SOUTHPORT 1 sees us relegated on goal difference. Just two goals in it over a 46 game season.

29 Apr Club Shop open 10.30am to 1pm for coach bookings, payments and purchase of souvenirs etc.

26 Apr Trust In Yellow Fifth Anniversary. Question Of Sport quiz ends in victory for Liam Watson's team against the supporters team 99-98.

25 Apr Home Darlington Easter Monday SOUTHPORT 1 DARLINGTON 1 ATT 1866, 206 AWAY. The thirteenth highest league attendance in NL Football.

Two coaches almost full, a third will be ordered if demand dictates. Book via Alan on 07980-911693.

23 Apr Away Tamworth TAMWORTH 0 SOUTHPORT 1 ATT 994, an excellent 178 noisy travelling SFC fans. Dale's moves on to 64 league goals just one behind Gambo's all time record 65. Not a very good game to watch but who cares, it's the result that counts at the end of the day. Quite a tepid encounter for 95 minutes so no idea how everything blew up in the 8th minute of added time which saw Rob Marsh-Evans sent off along with 3 Tamworth players including the Tamworth keeper who returned from the other end of the pitch having thrown a punch at Matty McGinn and proceeded to give the Southport fans some "hand gestures" It also transpires he spat at Aaron Turner and it looks from DVD and photo evidence that he may have spat at the fourth official which should see him banned for some time.

16 Apr Home Crawley Town SOUTHPORT 0 CRAWLEY 4 ATT 1011 AWAY 101.

9 Apr Away Luton  LUTON 6 SOUTHPORT 0 Attendance 5844 is joint second best NL Gate.

5 Apr Away Mansfield Town 7.45pm. MANSFIELD 2 SOUTHPORT 2. Comeback from 2-0 down. Goals from Aaron Turner, his first for the club and a Matty McGinn penalty.

29 Mar Away Altrincham 7.45pm ALTRINCHAM 1 SOUTHPORT 1 Dale's 62nd league goal.

23 Mar Away Tranmere Rovers LSC SF 7pm Kick Off TRANMERE 0 SOUTHPORT 2 Tony Gray and Steve Daly with the goals. JPK carried off with suspected broken ankle that turned out to be severe bruising.

19 Mar Away Rushden & Diamonds. RUSHDEN & DIAMONDS 2 SOUTHPORT 2. Goals from a Matty McGinn penalty on 37 and a cool finish from Shaun Whalley on 55.

16 Mar. Good news. After a few logistical problems I will after all be able to keep this site as part of the official one with the stats from here taking over the stats on the Official Site. We had thought it wouldn't work but I am now advised it can be done.

15 Mar Home v Barrow 7.45. I am hoping to have the long awaited Barrow programmes from the game on New Years Day in stock in the shop today. Now In Stock.

SOUTHPORT 2 BARROW 4.

Only the second time we have been beaten 4-2 at home. The only other one was in the 89/90 season against Mossley.

We have scored more goals at home than all but three Clubs, Crawley, AFCW and Luton. Away from home we have scored fewer than anyone and have the worst away record in the league.

13 Mar PREDICTION LEAGUE UPDATED. Alan Jones has a two point lead from yours truly.

Player Reunion is looking set for 9th October at The Prince Of Wales Hotel. More details soon.

12 Mar Home Cambridge SOUTHPORT 1 CAMBRIDGE UNITED 1 At long last our 2000th Non League goal is scored and what a cracker it was from John-Paul Kissock.

8 Mar Home v Cammell Laird SOUTHPORT 3 CAMMELL LAIRD 0 Attendance 73 included 19 from Cammell Laird. It wasn't our lowest ever home gate. That distinction remains at 63 for a game in the Lancs Junior Cup against Blackpool Mechanics in the 1979/80 season.

5 Mar Away Eastbourne EASTBOURNE 4 SOUTHPORT 1 You can read the Away Days Report in the Barrow programme.

1 Mar Home v Histon SOUTHPORT 3 HISTON 1, 1998 NL League Goals.
